It's very annoing that hitting mute pops up the automation by default.
Should be unticked by default

Agreed Tassy... Mute automation frustrates me, I am forever deleting it from Protools sessions.
I use Mute as a momentary mixing aid, like Solo and if I want to remove something I tend to cut it out or mute the region... it is a non-linear process after all.
Would be nice to have a global option to allow/inhibit Automation sub sections: Mute, EQ/DYN, Plugins, Sends, Fader etc so you get more control of what is necessary to display / control at any one time.
