Input sound not coming through
#1
In v9 I have the following issue:

The input (guitar/microphone etc) from my audio interface is shown nicely in its channel strip, but the sound won't go through to the master strip.

I plug something in, make sound, and I see the sound visuals in the channel strip. But I hear nothing and the master strip stays silent. No sign of any sound coming there.
If I route the input sound to a mixbus instead, this one also stays silent. No sign of the sound coming from the channel strip to anywhere else.

If I press rec+play, it will record just perfectly, and after the recording ends, I can listen to it.
But while the sound is live, before it's a done recording, I don't hear a thing. And the sound doesn't seem to leave its channel, I can't get it anywhere, not even visually.

I'm on Pop!_OS 22.04 with Pipewire. RME Babyface Pro FS.
The same system I used for v8, where I did lots of live performing without any issues.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Do you mean software monitoring via Mixbus 32C?

I mean exactly that!
Thank you so much. Big Grin

Can't believe I didn't check the manual. I've been fiddling around in that "Monitoring window" for so long, and it didn't even occur to me that "Record monitoring" could be set to mixbus32c instead of Audio Hardware.
Oh dear.

Thanks again, you made my day!

I forgot for Audio/MIDI Setup window at start, there is quick option for Hardware/Software monitoring.
