I've been and will continue to go through the manual but as of yet, I figure out how to get rid of all the extra time.
I was able to solve this in the location dialog box.

have you set the end marker to the end of the song?
I saw something about end marker. I'll go looking for that and get back to you. Thanks for the reply. Still new to MB and finding my way around. I'm to used to Sonar.
