Maybe I'm missing it...
How do I import multiple tracks into a project
from top to bottom / editor view
?
They are named i.e.
audio-01.wav
audio-02.wav
audio-03.wav
.
.
.
.

and so on

You can select multiple files in the Import dialog.

I was trying to replace with existing media and couldn't select multiple tracks for that job

Its actually not destructive as the new region is added as a new layer on top of the old one. I would still make a new playlist on the track though.
