In Ubuntu Studio 20.04, the method to add paths seems limited to selecting
from a browser widget, with no way to choose 'hidden' folders, and no text entry field.
I'm probably missing something obvious, an aquired skill,
EDIT, I forgot to try right-click in the browser list panel.
Maybe those evil hidden files should be available by default in that panel?
end EDIT
but in the meantime,
I copied and renamed my .u-he folder, put it in /usr/lib/vst, but I prefer
avoiding root/sudo permisssions. That's in V6.1.22, which feels like the
gui is very snappy.
Still has vertical gui text upside-down and backwards. Ever see a movie house
with signage like that? Not a flaw exclusive to Mixbus, but one easy to fix.
Cheers
winecfg has a tickbox to enable browsing in hidden files, reaper has an init file
so you can text-edit the vst paths.
