Error: Port registration failed

After a freeze and reloading the session I get an error:

cannot initialize session/engine: Port registration failed

No chance to open it and the last snapshot is hours away.
I've tried to open the *.bak file, but there is the same.
I hope someone have an idea.

Okay, one backup earlier solved my Problem.
In my first try I did the recover procedure wrong.
Here is it how it works:

Hi Just had this on a re-install then upgrade to 32C V7.

On the offending directory  I removed the  instant.xml
This resets the work space but it worked for me.

There is a post on here re this.
