[Solved] Mixbus 4 don't recognize midi interfaces

hi friends i have a problem with mixbus 4 and ardour 5.12 about don't recognize midi interfaces ( midisport 2x2 and midiface 2x2) on ubuntu 18.04.1 lts + repository kx studio,but it's work perfect on tracktion waveform 9

Do you use Jack? if so, did you configure jack to expose hardware midi devices (a2jmidid -e)?

Try Mixbus with it's built-in ALSA backend (no jack) perhaps (Menu > Window > Audio/MIDI setup). That's a lot easier to get started with, and midi devices are directly supported there.

You can add an ampersand (&) to launch the tool in the background

a2jmidid -e &
Then you can close the terminal.

There are also various ways to automate this. One option is to use qjackctl's "after start-up" scripts (see also http://manual.ardour.org/setting-up-your...-on-linux/ ).

Things like this is what separates dedicated distros (e.g. AVLinux) from generic ones. I think KXStudio also has automatic setup for this, but I don't know. With Ubuntu you'll have do this setup yourself.

PS. Do you really need JACK? Are you using other JACK applications along with Mixbus and route audio between them? If not: Mixbus' ALSA backend is the way to go.

in alsa backend driver midi interface are recognized but i don't plays and work audio from maudio firewire solo

Hi, I have a change system.... Now i used avlinux 64 release 2018 with enviroment xfce. It's a based on debian stretch 9.5 and kernel rt liquorix. For audio card for some problems with maudio firewire solo now used behringer uca 222 usb audio card. It's work perfect...
