Mixbus SSL GUI
#61
Wink
Hi
It turned out in Mixbus you can change the color themes from the parameters window, without complicated renames as I did before. To do this, open the modified schema as a text document in Notepad and add the title of the topic in the first line, so that it can be displayed in the list and saved. the following example looks like this: <? xml version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"?><Ardor theme-name = "dark 2">
The theme itself should be called this way: dark 2-mixbus.color
for 32c it is necessary to add these 32c Smile in the name: dark 2-mixbus32c.colors

 Themes should be placed in C: \ Program Files \ Mixbus4 \ share \ ardour4 \ themes
it's pretty convenient to change the subject in a couple of clicks. I've already manipulated some of the old themes that were posted here.

It's certainly still somewhere in the forum here, but will certainly then do not work with version 5. The 'chocolate' one is not that good as far as wood is concerned Wink

I think it's somewhere in this 'Mixbus SSL GUI' thread:

http://mixbus.harrisonconsoles.com/forum...age-2.html

Although I did not find it. It was certainly not of the 'lacquered' (what I call chocolate) style but really that of wood texture.

OTOH, in that thread there's a nice one called Yamaha my-dark.zip. I tried several themes of the current archive and it seems it's not in there.

scratches and texture can be customized Smile

Will these themes work in Mixbus5 32C?

Do they go in "Users/MyName/AppData/Local/ Mixbus5"?
Do they need to be renamed "dark-mb32c.colors"?
I've tried several combinations and so far none work.

Thanks

THESE THEMES SHOULD BE A FORUM/BOARD STICKY THING so that everyone can see them and not have to dig.

As Yriisem mentioned, yes.

Don't know about these strange paths. Goes in /opt/Mixbus32C-5.0.182/share/themes/

Yes, that's what I do. And I saved the original as dark-mb32c-original.colors before doing so, just in case.

Cheers.

here I explained everything in detail,

themes that have already been adapted in this way need to be
C:\Program Files\Mixbus32C-5\share\ardour5\themes

Thank you Yriisem,

"C:\Program Files\Mixbus32C-5\share\ardour5\themes"
and renaming the themes to "dark-mixbus32c.colors" was exactly what I needed to know.
I'm going through the downloaded themes and trying them out now.

How do you go to and CHANGE the theme? How do you SAVE the one you made?

Does anybody know how I change the track name colors area, I feel like I've tried just about everything i could try? I want to make it black with probably white typing or another bright color.
