Anything able in V5 ? Should anyone know about, is General Midi something to consider with the DM2k ?
Thanks!

HUI seems to be still relevant... I was on an Allen&Heath road show last week and their new SQ series would make perfect studio consoles - alas the DAW control uses HUI or generic MIDI. Generic MIDI is a pain, but HUI would be all right...

+1 for HUI control. V8 there should be no reason that multiple protocols can’t be implemented. Legacy hardware is still very much alive and well. Don’t limit your users based off what you think they need vs what they’ve been requesting for going on almost a decade now.

Which is crazy, cause I don’t think it would’ve taken 6 years to implement.

Well, there was a clear statement about it. That should have closed the case.
The Ardour part (where remote control happens) is open source, after all - if there was a real demand, someone would have contributed some code.
