Control Surface Mackie (Extender) Issue
#1
    So I am a new Mixbus 10 user, I also use Bitwig.
On Bitwig, when adding a controller, under Mackie, It lets you add up to 4 devices under 1 container. This allow for all 4 devices run as 1 control surface.
I'm using 4 Streamdecks xl as a 32 tracks - full track (8 tracks per device).
Now when I'm on Mixbus, Under Control Surfaces, the Mackie set up only allows 1 device. But when I tried Tascam US-2400, it kind of worked because it is the only one that allows up to 4 devices, but a lot of elements were gone.
Please, I would love for someone to help out. I attached some photos for some ideas, I don't know how to code or write scripts, but it seems this could be a Fix.
So far I admire Mixbus 10 and hope to see it grow

Create this file in the Applications\Mixbus10.app(show contents)\Contents\Resources\MCP
if Mac you are on Mac, or similar.
(StreamDeckX4.device)

Place the text below in it and save.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<MackieProtocolDevice>
  <Name value="4 Streamdecks"/>
  <Strips value="8"/>
  <MasterFader value="yes"/>
  <TimecodeDisplay value="yes"/>
  <TwoCharacterDisplay value="yes"/>
  <Extenders value="3"/>
  <MasterPosition value="4"/>
  <GlobalControls value="yes"/>
  <JogWheel value="yes"/>
  <TouchSenseFaders value="yes"/>
  <NoHandShake value="yes"/>
  <HasMeters value="yes"/>
</MackieProtocolDevice>

This assumes that your "master" is on the far right.
Adjust the   <MasterPosition value="4"/> value to something other than 4 if it is not.

When you choose Mackie protocol, then you should be able to pick 4 Streamdecks as the Device Type, and you will then have 4 sets of sends and receives to set up.

No idea if it will work for you though!

I guess this is much easier to do in Bitwig, because you can adapt the commands on both sides. With the Mackie protocol, you have to follow precisely each command from the protocol.

In windows, for 6-9 it was:
C:\Program Files\Mixbus32C-8\share\ardour8\mcp\

So maybe:
C:\Program Files\Mixbus10\share\ardour8\mcp\   ?
I havent installed to windows yet, been getting better performance from my Mac.
Just do a search for *.device, you should find the folder with those files in it.

It is only showing 24 tracks with all 4 streamdecks, I can't get the extra 8 tracks to work for some odd reason. I tried changing the Master position, and still only up to 24 tracks can be controlled. I'm not sure if this is something that has to do with Mixbus 10 Program only allowing 24 tracks, or perhaps the Script is only allowing 24 tracks.

I suspect that Mixbus only supports master and 2 extenders, even though the device file opens up the gui for 4 devices. For Mackie protocol anyway...

Can you change the extenders to =2, master to where you would have it, and bank for 25+?

Mixbus allows more than 24 tracks, just not maybe that many extenders.
